Meet Wealth Advisor, Colin Myers
Prior to entering the wealth management industry, Colin led US government sales and marketing for Comtech Systems, Inc., where he advised the military and US government agencies regarding risk mitigation strategies to overcome communication challenges for both military operations and border security. Prior to Comtech, Colin gained Fortune 500 finance, marketing, and project management experience while serving as Senior Financial Analyst and Senior Project Analyst for Darden Restaurants, the world’s largest full-service restaurant company.
Colin brings nine years of experience in government engineering and communications, having served in the US Navy as a submarine nuclear officer, communications officer, and ship driver for a $2B OHIO class submarine. As “COMMO” aboard the USS RHODE ISLAND, Colin supervised the receipt, transmission, and decoding of all submarine related messages, led the team of officers responsible for command and control of all nuclear missile launch orders and exercises, was responsible for all submarine nuclear launch codes and cryptography, and earned the USSTRATCOM 2010 Omaha Trophy Award as the #1 Strategic Communications submarine in the US Navy.
Colin received his Bachelors of Science in History from the US Naval Academy in 2006. In 2010, the Naval Nuclear Security Administration certified Colin as a Naval Nuclear Engineer. After the Navy, Colin earned is MBA, graduating first in his class with concentrations in finance and management from the Rollins College Crummer Graduate School of Business in 2013. Colin was the recipient of the 2013 SunTrust Distinguished Leader of Merit Award, is a graduate of the Central Florida Political Leadership Institute (2012), and served as a Blue and Gold Officer for the US Naval Academy. Colin has served on the Board of Directors for Ten Thousand Villages—Winter Park, FL from 2011-2016 and for the Crummer Graduate School of Business Alumni Board from 2013-2016. Colin has passed his Series 65 examination.
Colin loves spending time with his wife and two daughters, playing table tennis, and practicing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
