What The Heck Is Thorium?

Thorium is a naturally occurring radioactive chemical element with the symbol Th and atomic number 90. It was discovered in 1828 by the Norwegian mineralogist Morten Thrane Esmark and identified by the Swedish chemist Jöns Jakob Berzelius, who named it after Thor, the Norse god of thunder.

How does this relate to the creation of Thorium Wealth Management? When I was looking for names I wanted something that embodied my past experiences and at the same time the unique experience that I strive to provide my clients.

As many of my clients know I have an academic background in Biology and Chemistry.  I have a natural curiosity for the why things work as much as the how things work.   One of the reasons Thorium is an interesting element is that it has more stored energy than any other naturally occurring element on Earth.  I have been told the same thing since I was a little kid.  It has taken me many years to learn to control the energy and excitement that I have for serving clients and educating them on personal finance and wealth management topics.  I have boundless energy for the clients I serve and look forward to our future together as Thorium Wealth Management.

One more interesting factoid about Thorium, the element, is that it is currently being investigated as an alternative fuel source for nuclear power plants.  It is really an interesting element just like the practice I am creating.

This is my first blog post.  Please come back often as I hope to write about a wide range of topics on a regular basis.
